Benefits of Eating Chocolate
Chocolate consists of two great things. Awesome taste and rich in Antioxidants and Flavonoids. Antioxidants and Flavonoids benefit skin health, heart health and prevents blood clots.
Form of Chocolate Before you grab the nearest chocolate object near you, you might want to consider the forms of chocolate that benefit your health and taste buds at the same time.
~When chocolate is processed into your favorite chocolate products, it goes through many steps that reduce the pungent taste. Flavonoids provide the pungent taste. The more and more chocolate is processed (fermented, roasted etc.), more flavonoids are lost. Most commercial chocolate such as Hershey's, Nestle and other main brands lack Flavonoids due to being processed.
~Dark chocolate contains higher amounts of Antioxidants and Flavonoids, making it more healthy. If your taste buds allow it, consider consuming more dark chocolate than milk chocolate. Chocolate is not the healthiest of all foods but it is not as bad for you as it was once considered. It contains counteracting fats which makes it in the long run not so bad. So enjoy a good piece of tasty chocolate every once in awhile. Remember, though, that chocolate is considered more of an enjoyment these days than for health benefits, so do not be so conscious about making sure it contains healthy foods as long as it satifies your taste buds.
UPDATE
